As the match goes on hopefully we will see a lot more goalmouth action! Burnley get a set-piece opportunity now after a cheaply conceded foul by Swansea a few yards in from the left touchline. Jones is tasked with it, but is floated into the box without much authority which allows Fabianski to easily come off his line to claim out of the air. Boyd receives the ball to feet and moves into space unopposed before passing wide for Lowton.

It all looks like it may be a fairly elaborate set-piece routine, but the only thing we see is a floated cross to the back post from Fer which is easily cleared out of the danger area by Burnley. Strange one. Burnley are just enjoying a nice little period of sustained possession at the moment, their first of the match. This is partly due to Swansea, though, who have just retreated into a slightly more defensive shape in the past couple of minutes, which should be interesting to see without the towering presence of Ashley Williams in their ranks.
He does get a small glimpse of goal after latching on to a pass in behind the Swansea defence, but the resulting volleyed attempt at goal goes high and wide into the stand. Disappointing, but a tough opportunity. Burnley are peppering the Swansea box with a plethora of crosses at the moment, with the latest coming once again from Jones. This time, the former Manchester United man hits a teasing corner-kick to the front post which proves to be very awkward for Fabianski, who is forced into conceding another corner. The home side definitely on top at the moment! The Burnley fans are trying their best catalyse some kind of entertainment out there at the moment, but you can probably understand the fact neither side is going all-out for goals in this first half.

CLEARED OFF THE LINE FROM BURNLEY! Routledge swings a corner into the box and it falls fortuitously to Amat, who smuggles an attempt low towards the bottom corner. Luckily for the home side, Arfield is perfectly positioned on the post to make the VITAL block! That is why you put people on the posts at set-pieces, ladies and gentleman! First booking of the match goes to Jones for a late challenge. Vokes and Gray have been terribly starved of service so far this afternoon, and as coming deeper and deeper into midfield to try and get involved in the play. The former does well on this occasion as he earns a throw-in deep down the left wing after skipping past a couple of opposition tackles.
Swansea City vs Burnley H2H - Livescores.biz
There is plenty of hustle and bustle out there, but not a lot of quality unfortunately for the viewing public. Both sides are canceling each other out at the moment which is making for a fairly opening day clash, as nobody wants to take too many risks so early in the campaign. Very cagey indeed. All of the play is being channeled down that left wing near the dugout at the moment, with Ward and Boyd getting involved in an entertaining duel with Barrow and Naughton. The Burnley men are probably getting the better of their opposite numbers so far, but blows are being traded on both sides! Barrow has enjoyed a decent start to the match here and looks one of the better shouts as to who may open the scoring. This time, the Swansea winger cuts inside on his left foot before slamming a powerful strike on goal, but it is bravely charged down by Keane, who puts his body on the line to make the vital block.
Francesco Guidolin's men have probably been the better team, but only very slightly. GOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR SWANSEA! THE DEADLOCK IS BROKEN! Montero drives towards the opposition defence before clipping a cross into the box for Llorente, who sees his header saved! Fer is perfectly positioned to smash in the rebound, though! One-nil! Lowton is booked for that challenge on Montero. Free-kick to Swansea in another great position here as Montero skips past the challenge of Lowton, only to be brought down by the retreating tackle from the Burnley man.
Somehow, SOMEHOW he manages to hit his attempt straight over the bar, which was actually harder to do! A quite incredible sitter! Another change from Swansea as Jefferson Montero enters the action in place of Barrow. The recently introduced Sigurdsson can make an instant impact now as he is gifted a free-kick opportunity from 25 yards out. The Iceland international gets a strike up and down over the ball, but Heaton reads it and vigilantly palms behind even though it may have been going behind.
Really good defending there. Ward opens up his stride down the left wing and attempts to skip past Naughton, only to go down under the excellent challenge from the former Tottenham man. A really positive couple of minutes from Burnley, who are awarded for their persistence with a corner-kick. Let's see what they can make of this. Three players stand over a free-kick for Swansea around 25 yards out in the left channel.
The Burnley goalkeeper, rightfully, taking no chances! Burnley have a real spring in their step at the moment and look the most likely team to break this solid deadlock and net the opener. Boyd and Vokes have a couple of attempts on goal in quick succession, but Swansea survive as the first is blocked and the second is lashed wide. Leon Britton leaves the action to be replaced by Gylfi Sigurdsson, which will probably signal Fer moving into a deeper position. WHAT A SAVE FROM FABIANSKI!! Vokes, who has been in and out of prominence, meets a bouncing ball perfectly on the edge of the box with a volley which looks destined to find the bottom corner, but he is thwarted by the Swansea goalkeeper, who somehow gets across to make the stop! A dodgy moment from Fabianski here as he makes the ill-advised decision to dash off his line all the way out to the touchline to try and stop Gray latching on to a loose ball. He eventually makes a decent clearance, but there was also a couple of hints of a handball too! WHAT A MISS FROM KEANE! Sean Dyche will be wondering just how his team aren't ahead here, as the defender meets a perfect corner to the back post with the entire goal in which to aim, only to completely take his eye off the ball and not make a connection.
We are back under way in this Premier League clash. Some goals, please! Half-time at Turk Moor. Burnley and Swansea are playing with a little bit of early season nerves so far, and go into the break at a 0-0 stalemate with not too many goalscoring chances to speak of. Gray has had a couple of decent attempts for the hosts, while Amat saw a strike cleared off the line late in the half for the Swans, but unfortunately for the viewing public it has not been a classic opener to the campaign so far. Second period to come. Just the one minute of added time here which sounds about right as we haven't seen too many stoppages.

The Burnley right-back cuts back inside on his left foot, but the subsequent cross into the box is poor and easily intercepted by Kingsley, who passes out from the back to Britton. Mee gives the ball away in a horrible position in midfield and Llorente takes advantage to win possession and move forward into the danger area. He pulls the trigger with a drilled strike along the ground, but it ends up going straight down the throat of Heaton, who easily collects between the sticks.

Even if he let it hit his face it would have been a goal! Unbelievable! Jones hits the subsequent free-kick from the Amat foul to the front post, but it is blocked behind for a corner by Fer. A deserved booking for Amat now as the Spaniard struggles to keep pace with Gray before eventually hauling the Burnley striker to the ground. Free-kick to the home side in a very useful position from the right flank.
